135 álbuns de rock e metal que serão lançados em maio de 2019

Em termos de lançamentos, o mês de maio tem opções ainda mais versáteis e distintas, para todos os gostos, do que de costume. Há, por exemplo, nomes consagrados colocando novos álbuns nas prateleiras (e plataformas), como Whitesnake, Sammy Hagar & The Circle, Duff McKagan, Morrissey, Sting (ainda que de releituras) e Stray Cats. Alguns desses grupos mais populares estão, inclusive, retornando de longos hiatos criativos, como o Rammstein e o L7, que estão há, respectivamente, 10 e 20 anos sem divulgar material inédito.

A grande aposta, na minha opinião, é o álbum de estreia do Hollowstar, boa banda que faz um metal alternativo híbrido, bem formatado e com boas doses de hard rock e até heavy metal tradicional. Há, também, o quinto disco do Savage Messiah, que já deixou de ser uma promessa e se consolidou com uma boa trajetória, com mais de uma década de rodagem.

Dois projetos, ainda, me chamam a atenção. Um deles é o Phil X & The Drills, de Phil X, guitarrista do Bon Jovi. O primeiro EP do grupo será divulgado neste mês. O outro é o Beasto Blanco, que une o vocalista Wednesday 13 (Murderdolls) ao baixista Chuck Garric (Alice Cooper), com seu novo álbum, “We Are”.

Por fim, no âmbito do meu gosto pessoal, estou na expectativa pelos novos trabalhos de The Heavy, que alia o rock ao funk, soul, R&B e muito mais; Crazy Lixx, que pratica um som bem próximo do hard rock oitentista; Kenny Wayne Shepherd, bluesman de carreira sólida; e Royal Republic, um grupo de pegada meio alternativa, meio garage – e muito divertida.
