As listas de melhores discos de 2022 começarão a pipocar em alta frequência nos próximos dias. Como já é de praxe, a revista Decibel, especializada em metal extremo e publicada mensalmente desde 2004 pela editora americana Red Flag Media, foi uma das primeiras a divulgar seu ranking.
O grande vencedor foi o grupo de death metal Undeath. A banda americana de Rochester, Nova York, se sobressaiu com seu segundo álbum, “It’s Time...to Rise from the Grave”. O trabalho conta com 10 faixas e foi lançado pela Prosthetic Records.
