Sai dia 28 de outubro a versão remixada e expandida de “Revolver”, álbum originalmente lançado pelos Beatles em 1966. As 14 faixas originais foram remixadas pelo produtor Giles Martin e pelo engenheiro Sam Okell em estéreo e Dolby Atmos, enquanto a mixagem mono original é proveniente da fita master.
O áudio foi retrabalhado com a ajuda da tecnologia de mixagem de ponta desenvolvida pela equipe de som liderada por Emile de la Rey na WingNut Films Productions Ltd, de Peter Jackson, diretor do premiado documentário “The Beatles: Get Back”.
As coleções Super Deluxe físicas e digitais também apresentam o mix mono original do álbum, 28 takes iniciais das sessões e três demos caseiras, além de um EP de quatro faixas com novas mixagens estéreo e mixes mono originais remasterizados para “Paperback Writer” e “Rain”, músicas do single duplo lado A gravado nas mesmas sessões.
Completando os pacotes das edições Super Deluxe, um livro capa dura de 100 páginas com prefácio escrito por Paul McCartney. No conteúdo, notas detalhas do historiador dos Beatles, autor e produtor de rádio Kevin Howlett, além de fotos raras e inéditas, imagens nunca antes publicadas de letras manuscritas, caixas de fita e folhas de gravação, bem como anúncios impressos de 1966 e trechos da graphic novel de Klaus Voormann inspirada no álbum.

Sobre o álbum
Sétimo trabalho de estúdio dos Beatles, “Revolver” foi o último lançado pela banda antes de encerrar suas atividades como atração de palcos. Mostrava um quarteto cada vez mais experimental em sua sonoridade. Liricamente, o grupo também se aprofundava em reflexões sobre temas como a morte e o materialismo.
Foi o primeiro a contar com um número mais considerável de composições de George Harrison no tracklist. Foram três ao total: “Taxman”, “Love You To” e “I Want To Tell You”.
“Revolver” vendeu mais de 5 milhões de cópias só nos Estados Unidos, onde chegou ao primeiro lugar, assim como Reino Unido, Alemanha e Austrália, entre outros.
