Billboard escolhe os 100 melhores refrães do século 21

O site da revista Billboard publicou, no início desta semana, uma lista com os 100 melhores refrães do século 21. Como esperado, o pop dominou a lista: boa parte das canções escolhidas são do gênero em questão.

A votação foi feita em debate conjunto com a equipe da revista. Apenas músicas lançadas a partir de 2000 foram consideradas – afinal, trata-se de uma lista que menciona o século 21. Abriu-se uma exceção apenas para canções divulgadas próximas à virada do milênio, visto que algumas delas só chegaram às paradas no início dos anos 2000.

Segundo a publicação, foram consideradas as músicas “que mais rapidamente vêm à cabeça quando se fala de um bom refrão: inteligente, pegajoso, singular e inesquecível”. “Quando você vê o título da música, o refrão vem imediatamente à sua cabeça e não sai rapidamente? Se sim, é a canção certa para a lista”, diz.

O primeiro lugar ficou com o hit “Call Me Maybe”, da canadense Carly Rae Jepsen. Na sequência do hit de 2012, está “Since U Been Gone”, lançada pela cantora Kelly Clarkson e o indie rock “Mr. Brightside”, do The Killers.
